Is ReBoot for You?

Getting on board with companies that offer high-wage, high-growth jobs can be difficult. ReBoot Northwest aims to be a resource of support and guidance during your job search. If you are looking for a career in manufacturing or IT, the program can help you connect with “earn and learn” opportunities like internships and on-the-job training with industry leading employers.

Over the next few years the program will help more than 1,000 people – will you be one of them? Read below to find out if you might be a good fit for the program:

Work / Veteran Status: To qualify for ReBoot NW, you must be long-term unemployed, underemployed or an unemployed Veteran/Veteran Eligible Spouse.

Legal to Work in the United States: To qualify for ReBoot NW, you must be legal to work in the U.S. and register with WorkSource.

Education: To qualify for ReBoot NW, you must have at least a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Many information technology and manufacturing jobs require additional education and/or certification. ReBoot NW will help ReBoot NW participants identify additional required training, and may be able to pay for some costs associated with obtaining certifications or degrees.

Age: All ReBoot NW participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Fit: ReBoot NW participants must be ready and available to participate in training and employment in order to enroll in the program. Participants should also have an interest and/or experience in tech or manufacturing sector employment. Career coaches will work with participants to determine program readiness and industry aptitude. Additional workshops or trainings may be required before applying to ReBoot NW.

Time: ReBoot NW participants must be available to participate in training and employment. The majority of ReBoot NW participants will attend a 2-4 week “career link” course, aimed at quickly integrating them into the manufacturing or IT workforce.

Some ReBoot participants will have all the required credentials and experience necessary to get back on the job and only need a quick refresher on current trends and industry practices. Others will need to attain a certificate, degree and/or some on-the-job training. Either way, ReBoot NW will work with you to develop a plan for how to get a high-growth, high-wage career in IT or manufacturing.
